Kate Vitolo is a licensed resident in the state of Virginia where she is working toward LPC licensure. Kate is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Virginia.

Kate utilizes a relaxed, collaborative, and culturally competent approach to counseling. Kate has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Kate’s experience includes helping clients with issues related to emotional regulation, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, and identity exploration. Kate abides by a holistic methodology to therapy, utilizing CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered techniques while maintaining a continued focus on the connection between the mind and body. Kate’s approach is oriented toward aiding in self exploration, uncovering the root of the presenting problem(s), and setting an action plan based on each client’s personal set of goals and values. Kate will support you with positive regard while also encouraging you to push past personal barriers standing in the way of you becoming the best version of yourself.

Kate received her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Kate received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York College of Pennsylvania.

Kate has experiencing working as a high school counselor, an outpatient substance abuse and co-occurring disorder primary counselor for adolescents and adults, and as an individual/family therapist in private practice.
