Brittany Johnson, LPC-R

Brittany is a Resident in Counseling with True North Psychological Services, LLC. She believes that one’s mind, body, and spirit all work together and she is committed to helping you find and put together the pieces you have lost so you can feel empowered, motivated, and experience healing. Brittany believes that spirituality can be an important component in therapy work and that true change can take place when you have someone who is willing to walk alongside of you as work through life’s challenges. Further, she believes that the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy technique can be useful in helping you gain a different perspective in how you view your challenges. She also has used solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness based therapy to work with clients who have had drug and alcohol addiction. Brittany has worked with adults who have experienced alcohol and drug addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and codependency and is a firm believer in using a collaborative approach because of her experience working with multi-ethnic populations. In addition, Brittany’s areas of interest include working with individuals, couples, and families who may have experienced difficult or complicated life transitions, pre-marital, marital issues, and trauma.

Brittany received her masters in the Licensed Professional Counseling Program at Liberty University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in the Criminal Justice and Criminology from Barton College.
